December yoga to benefit Homesafe of Ashtabula

Homesafe of Ashtabula needs your help to secure funds to purchase a minivan. This vehicle will be used to support their efforts to help victims of domestic violence in our community. Make a donation at any of the classes shown and we will give 90% of donations received PLUS 10% of all pass sales during these events to Homesafe to support this fund drive.

If you need a place to go and just be, we’re here. Practice in a trauma informed space. Rest in stillness on your mat. Have a cup of tea & chat or don’t. Whatever you need. Things don’t always go according to plan. This photo wasn’t supposed to have a green filter, but it still captures the image. I was supposed to be on this dive, but something felt wrong in my body when I hit the water, so I stayed on the boat. Why? Because, through my yoga practice I’ve learned to listen to my body. To challenge, but not go beyond my edge, and that applies in all areas of life.

Take a moment for remembrance this Memorial Day.

A little over a year ago, I had the privilege of visiting the Pearl Harbor Memorial during a visit to Honolulu. Being in that spot, seeing this plaque and the names of those lost during that attack was an experience that is difficult to describe. I cannot imagine that anyone who visits could leave that site with a deep sense of gratitude for the people memorialized there, and with all of the other men and women who lost their lives while serving this country. This Memorial Day, please take a moment to remember the reason for this holiday. Maybe give them a moment of silence and honor their memories by giving your community a little bit of your time with volunteer efforts. However you choose to commemorate this day may you all be healthy, happy and safe, have inner peace, freedom and love.

The Truth About Moms with Kira Marie Yoga

A Ladies Only Event

Kira joins us to present a special workshop that includes open, honest dialogue about the realities and challenges of pregnancy and motherhood. Kira will share her experience with postpartum depression and offer a practice specially designed to help you work through these challenges. Laugh, cry and move with Kira (or not, the choice is yours). The workshop and practice are suitable for expecting Moms, new Moms, or any Mom who struggles with balancing feelings and family life. (To guarantee a safe space for open dialogue, this workshop is ladies only. Thank you for understanding.)
